How does the cashier get notified when the Audit Threshold is almost reached? Will this notification appear on the POS screen, and does it require integrated handling?

The POS should implement this notification as a warning to the cashier. The type of warning (display message, flashing light…) depends on the product implementation, however, it must be clearly documented in the POS user manual produced by the vendor/developer.
The POS receives a warning (code 1400) from SDC in case 75% of the card limit (audit threshold) is reached (see Status and Error Codes).
It can also obtain this information from the SDC via the GET Status command (see Get Status).
