An electronic certificate placed on a Secure Element has expiration period set by the Tax Authority, and it is completely configurable (hence it can be altered in case the Tax Authority changes its policy in that area). After the electronic certificate expires, a Secure Element can no longer be used. A request for issuance of the new Secure Element can be filed prior to the expiration date.
